I strongly believe the power of therapeutic touch is healing.

Supporting mothers through pregnancy, birth, postpartum, and the evolving journey of motherhood.

At Massagemomma, proudly serving Cypress, Katy, and Houston, TX, I specialize in pregnancy and postpartum massage and provide compassionate birth doula support. Over the years, many mothers I served began seeking guidance beyond physical care, which led me to expand my work to include mentorship and coaching for women navigating new seasons of motherhood and entrepreneurship.

Meet Sasha Sumling

Words From Sasha

I became a massage therapist over a decade ago because I deeply believe in the healing power of touch. Just months later, I expanded my journey by becoming a birth doula. Since then, I have had the privilege of supporting over 600 mothers through pregnancy, birth, and postpartum recovery.

Through therapeutic bodywork and compassionate birth support, I have walked alongside women during some of the most powerful and vulnerable moments of their lives.

Over time, many mothers I served began reaching out for more than physical support. They were navigating identity shifts, life transitions, and questions about what came next after motherhood.

That realization led me to expand my work even further.

Today, in addition to my hands-on care, I also mentor and coach mothers who are rediscovering their purpose, navigating new seasons of life, or exploring entrepreneurship after maternity leave.

My work is rooted in compassion, faith, and the belief that when mothers are supported, they are able to create powerful change in their families and communities.

My Kids

When I think of my kids, I think of them as a reflection of me.

My oldest, my son, is a vibrant and colorful 30 year old graduate from St. John’s University with a bachelor’s degree in science majoring in Film and Television Production and a minor in Fashion Study. He is currently a 5th grade elementary school teacher.

My middle child, my oldest daughter, is a spicy and smart 25 year old graduate of Texas Tech University with a bachelor’s degree in interior design and architecture. She has also received her master’s degree in interior design and architecture from The University of Texas at Austin.

My youngest daughter is 24 and a graduate of Baylor University with a degree in Child and Family Studies. She has the voice of an angel with prestige honors in the choir program. My daughter has a rare autoimmune condition, juvenile dermatomyositis, so I know the struggles and joys of mothering amidst the challenges. She is currently a child life advocate and teacher for children with disabilities.

My Journey to Motherhood

“I became a mom at 18 years old. Four years later, I welcomed my second child. Two years after that, my third. My children grew alongside me as I was growing into the woman and mother I was becoming.

Motherhood didn’t come with a manual, but it came with lessons that shaped my life in ways I never expected.

Stretch marks are indented lines stretched in the skin caused by hormonal changes and rapid weight gain, common in pregnancy. Although not cosmetically beautiful, every time I look down at them, I think of the journey they took me on to motherhood.

Each time I carried my babies, my skin stretched, but I knew I was creating a beautiful life. Every second of nausea and discomfort associated with pregnancy and birth accounted for 27 months of my life.

I wouldn’t trade my marks for anything.

Motherhood shaped my heart in ways that later became the foundation of my work. Through my own experiences, I developed a deep compassion for women navigating the physical, emotional, and spiritual shifts that come with pregnancy, birth, and life after babies.

That journey eventually led me to become a Licensed Massage Therapist and Birth Doula, supporting mothers during some of the most powerful moments of their lives.

Over time, many of the women I served began reaching out for guidance beyond the massage table. They were navigating identity shifts, career decisions, and new visions for their lives after motherhood.

Today, in addition to providing therapeutic care and birth support, I also mentor and coach mothers who are rediscovering their purpose and stepping into new seasons of life.

Because when mothers are supported, they do more than heal. They grow, they lead, and they create powerful change within their families and communities.”
